Meet the Dietitian

Hi! I'm Melissa-- a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, mom, and lover of all things delicious. I believe that the focus of any diet should be including as much variety, nutrition, and flavor as possible, rather than focusing on what we should take away.

Food is an important part of our lives. Learning that you need to eliminate certain foods or ingredients can feel isolating, overwhelming, and stressful. Adding to the stress is the concern that your digestive symptoms—nausea, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, heartburn, etc.—may flare up as a result of something you eat.

It's normal to feel all of these things. However, learning how to adapt your diet to your wants and needs can alleviate the burden of meal planning and the stress of eating at social events. So, then the question is, "How do I adapt my diet to meet my needs and my lifestyle without feeling more stressed?"

How I can help

I help clients who are struggling with managing their diet and meal planning as it relates to IBS, Celiac Disease, Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, and other food allergies and intolerances. I love showing clients how to translate lists of “Do’s” and “Don’ts” into practical and delicious meals, while addressing digestive symptoms that may be affecting their relationship with food.
